I am here to share the adventures of myself & anyone willing to join me; to hopefully entertain, inform and amuse you and to highlight my occasional efforts to aid worthwhile causes. I am an adventure junkie, I like to climb up stuff, jump off stuff, ride down stuff, camp, hike, ski, scuba dive, sky dive, play with lion cubs, and set goals for myself outside my comfort zone!.

Everest Base Camp Trek Day 5
As we trek higher, it gets colder and the nights are still in front of the fire trying to keep warm before going to bed. As we sit around our wood stove, we enjoy talking with other trekkers. Each guest house on the EBC Trek has been quiet and comfortable with only one to two other parties climbing. We have been lucky, we only see a dozen or so people on the trail each day and the Yak Trains have been few and far between.

Everest Base Camp Trek Day 4
We trekked to Tengboche Monastery today. The views once again was just simple amazing. So much beauty in one place. The day was beautiful and the sun was shinning while we trekked, but the weather changed quickly after lunch and by the time we reach the Tengboche Monaster, it was snowing and very cold. We were not allowed to take pics in the Monastery, but it was just magical being in the Tengboche Monastery.

Everest Base Camp Trek Day 3
These photos best describe my day today. The first, showing the morning's chaotic weather. Visibility was reduced to 20m due to extreme amounts of fog. The temperature was sub-zero and the windchill was so cold that I felt it in my bones. Right when giving up seemed like a logical decision, we rounded a small curve and saw what I can only describe as the indescribable.. A euphoric moment where the fog momentarily subsided, and there, right before me, was Everest (the mountain on the middle-left at the back, with the snow plume streaming off the summit), Lhotse (the mountain next to Everest on the right, making Everest look like a dwarf) and on the far right, the impossibly beautiful Ama Dablam. This is a moment in time I'll cherish forever. If I'm dreaming, don't wake me up....

A peak at Everest - Day 2
Today has been an incredible day, a dream come true. Today, for the first time, I saw Everest with my own eyes. Peaking through some pine trees, I gazed on her beauty. Standing there, like a silent giant, towering above the surrounding mountains, she was captivating. I'm currently sitting at 3,333m above sea-level enjoying a hot dinner at the Namche bazaar...still 6days before we reach Everest Base Camp. I feel like I'm dreaming. Don't wake me up!!!
Everest Base Camp Trek Day 1
We started trekking straight after landing at Lukla. The weather is sunny and beautiful but after about 3hrs into the trek, the weather turns cold and it starts snowing..it's bitterly cold and windy, but we make our way up up up...steep stairs and suspension bridges. It's amazing scenery all the way. All supplies, food and equipment need to be carried in by foot. The people here on the mountain live in harsh conditions. Porters carry heavy loads on their backs, children and women carry loads as well and I'm feeling bad as my porter is carry by bag of 20kg plus another climber's bag of 15kg And I'm Battling with the altitude walking through the villages steep stairs and these people are flying by...Ouch
