Everest Base Camp Trek Day 3

These  photos best describe my day today. The first, showing the morning's chaotic weather. Visibility was reduced to 20m due to extreme amounts of fog. The temperature was sub-zero and the windchill was so cold that I felt it in my bones. Right when giving up seemed like a logical decision, we rounded a small curve and saw what I can only describe as the indescribable.. A euphoric moment where the fog momentarily subsided, and there, right before me, was Everest (the mountain on the middle-left at the back, with the snow plume streaming off the summit), Lhotse (the mountain next to Everest on the right, making Everest look like a dwarf) and on the far right, the impossibly beautiful Ama Dablam. This is a moment in time I'll cherish forever. If I'm dreaming, don't wake me up....
